This seems quite high. Consider for example Costco sells 5 pack of Colgate Total (6.4 oz each) for $16.99. That would mean it is about $16.99 / (5 x 6.4 oz) = $0.54 / oz
Walgreens also sometimes has sales on toothpaste, including a recent sale on Colgate Optic White for $0.99 ac for a 6 oz tube, making for about $0.99 / 6 oz = $0.17 / oz . While this seems like it's too good to be true, they commonly have toothpaste on sale like this every month.
