Not long time ago, maybe around a year or so, I purchases 4TB model for around $240. I recommend to wait until the prices come down again.

Many of the SSD's that I've purchased (same model/specs) from 3-4 years ago, have practically quadrupled or more than doubled in price

You can google to your heart's content as to all the reasons why and then make the best decision for yourself if you should buy or wait. And if you wait, how long you'll have to wait.

I assume probably when the new administration gets in to the office, new policies, new tariffs, new, & hopefully lower, prices. If you're not in a rush, prices may gradually decrease, especially after the current situation with oil prices due to the conflict in the Persian Gulf.
