These are usually intended to be optimized with phones, and laptops that have AV output via USB-C (i.e. to display your phone or laptop on a TV). Gaming systems often have proprietary needs, often baked in so you're forced to use their products, like the Switch 2 dock unfortunately.
I just wish that this one had a higher refresh rate, 120 Hz or higher.
