Little sad to see the note that they use only real copper wire and reject aluminum. The fact that copper fraud is still a real problem after more than three thousand years...
But seriously, it's a huge supply chain problem. Aluminum or iron passed off as copper is a huge and common fraud issue when purchasing anything from China.
Does anyone have this? Lid broke off the trash bin and the city hasn't done anything for months and refuses to give me a replacement date...
This would be really handy for stuff like that

Call the trash company instead, they're more likely to help you out. City officials are generally lazy and act annoyed that you are making them do their job. Sometimes they're even incentivized to tell you to kick rocks.

This type of fix isnt good for anything that takes stress (like opening the lid). These are better for things like a car dash.

I went down a rabbit hole of what I found were called "hot staplers" like this and other ones that people referred to as plastic welders that used some sort of mesh and a plastic stick like a glue gun.
I wound up getting one like this with the "staples" but I got a cordless one that uses DeWalt 20v batteries. They make similar ones for Milwaukee and Ryobi ones too. There was a coupon on the page for the one I got for like $4 off, so this one was $38.69 before tax. Might not be a deal, but I will go for a cordless version of a tool in the system I'm in if I can find one.
Now I have to find a bunch of plastic stuff that's cracked around my house to try it out. Thanks for letting me know this type of tool existed for my collection OP! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNSPB41L
