The app shows the estimated dollar amount charged with a little lag. It's impossible to charge exactly $10. You'll either have to stop it a few cents short or pay a few cents.

Also please note that the rates on these differ per location. They just opened up 8 new chargers near me and they charge per minute where as 20 minutes away in a more densely populated part of town the app chargers per kWH.

Yeah, the delivered energy on the screen is VERY slow to update. I think it only updates like every 5 seconds. So you'll have to really estimate when to stop the charge.

I had a $15 credit and did 14.02 with the $0.99 session fee. I was quite proud of estimating the stoppage

I don't think this is true unless it means one month after first using the credit and not one month after adding to account. There was a similar winter deal around November/December 2025 (also said it expired 1 month after redemption) and I added those to my account back then but didn't use them till about a week ago and it worked fine. Under "Transactions" it shows how much credit you have and what your charges cost, and it showed I had $10 credit which got applied directly to my charge.
