So, if I'm reading this 1 person must eat 5 year of emergency food in 3 days?

I just checked, my car food bars are 6 years old. Time to replace them. These water pouches are good for a car get-home-bag. They are relatively durable and they don't break when frozen.

The MayDay brand water pouches are 4.2oz (125mL) each x 6 pouches/box for a total of 750mL of water. Not sure how that lasts 3 days...

Amazon does sell the MayDay brand water directly (50 pouches per box) for $28 or roughly $0.56 per pouch.
Listing Title : Mayday Pouch Water, Coast Guard Emergency Water, 5-Year Shelf Life, Disaster Preparedness Supplies for, Earthquake, Fire, Flood, Leak-Proof Pouches, 4.225 Oz/125Ml 50 Pack

Considering this kit includes 6 pouches of MayDay water (worth $3.36 if bought separately), it's up to you to determine if the 2400 calorie block and blanket is worth $9.38...

Agreed. The cheap solution is buy some bottled water and keep that with this and other emergency supplies (a bit more shelf stable food wouldn't be a bad idea either). Water does not go bad that quickly and if you're really paranoid, rotate/replace the bottled water after a couple of years. One way of looking at the paltry included water supply is that it's intended to get you through those first few, stressful hours of an emergency. And that you'll somehow gain access to, or find potable water after that. But to make that workable, a 3-day emergency kit should include water purification tablets, a few paper coffee filters and a reusable container to collect and store found water for purification. And you'll want to put all this (and other, sensible emergency preparation supplies) in a backpack or some other container for ease of transport.

I have a three-day kit in an internal frame backpack that I keep in my car at all times. It's much more extensive than this though and includes a NOAA weatherband weather radio, multiple light sources and a small tent. And more, better food supplies and a tiny backpacking stove/cookset. I consider it a get home bag rather than a bug out bag because in most of the disaster scenarios I prepare for, getting home and sheltering in place is by far the preferable option. It also serves as a winter emergency survival kit and, I suppose, a bug out kit if a disaster unfolds away from home where most of my emergency supplies are. For other folks who are at risk of (for instance) flood, tsuanmi, or wildfire, prepping for a bug out/emergency evacuation could be perfectly reasonable.

This MayDay kit is far, far from complete. But if it gets anyone thinking seriously about basic, sensible preparation for natural disasters and other real world emergency scenarios, it's a fine start.
