This is non stick, so carbon steel composition won't change that.

Non stick and high heat wok cooking don't go well together. The non stick will get damaged very quickly.

Instead go with a regular carbon steel wok and season it yourself at home. Far safer

These aren't non-stick coated; they don't have a teflon or ceramic nonstick coating. They're nitrided carbon steel and seasoned normally. I have one and it's been solid; out of the box they're more non-stick than my regular carbon steel woks and you don't have to deal with scrubbing/burning off the varnish and creating the initial seasoning coat. I've used them roughly with metal utensils that would've scratched teflon nonstick and they're spotless.

There's a bunch of these on Amazon under different brand names and slightly different handles, rivets, etc. I have one and it's been good, though the wooden handle was pretty dry when it arrived and I saw one review where it cracked, so I soaked the interior of the handle in mineral oil, which should help.

My only dislike of it is the rolled lip, which is more annoying to clean/dry but that's a minor gripe. Just kind of a weird design for a wok.

The pan is thicker and much more rigid than traditional carbon steel woks and closer to the Yosukata pans, which I didn't mind. They're heavier than a traditional wok but almost all flat bottom woks tend to be quite heavy vs the restaurant style ones. I've used the Yosukata before and liked it but this is less than half the price and the nitrided carbon steel really does perform better. Build quality wise, this isn't that far off from the Yosukata either and I find the Yosukata a bit too heavy.

Prior to this I was using a Joyce Chen wok and it was ok but the rivets were aluminum and they'd constantly wobble and loosen. The rivets and handle attachment on this are rock solid without any flex like my older restaurant supply woks.

One review showed a bunch of flaking material and called it the non-stick coating.. definitely concerns me but others are saying there's no true "non-stick coating" on it...

Definitely gives me pause though
