But for the couple bucks more, you get the juice grooves (less mess) and the crossed laminated 3 layer design for durability. I'd say it's surely worth it.

Eh yeah...you got me on that one...I only Googled once. It's a good deal compared to what I've seen at a few local retailers if you want a bamboo board to avoid micro plastics. Some of these boards are pretty thin like 3/8", I like the thicker 5/8-3/4" boards to avoid warping.

I'll risk benign HDPE that I can sanitize in the dishwasher vs bacteria risk in wood and bamboo cuts. It's all about life choices.
