This is a really excellent fully upgraded plan with unlimited high speed data, and most regular Verizon customers should absolutely consider choosing Visible instead for potentially significant cost savings. We have successfully used our smartphone as a hotspot multiple times when our regular internet service was down. There are no extra data charges for high speed streaming, without any throttling whatsoever, while using 2 laptops and a TV. The regular cell service is good, too. Keep in mind that Visible is owned by Verizon and runs on Verizon towers preferentially, so don't choose this service if coverage isn't great in your area. And YES, the price will go back up at the end of the promotional year, but Visible will wait until very near the end of the period and then offer another promotional price at the last minute. We choked and ported to Tello so that we could port back in for the newest promo price but it was completely unnecessary. They offered us a new promo about 10 days before the expiration of the yearly service. Also be sure to look for Cash Back opportunities from applicable credit cards and shopping sites when making payment.

Switched to visible from AT&T and it is light years better in the DMV area. More reliable data overall. Get data in few places where I used to get nothing on AT&T. Only complaint I have is that their voice is not as good. Occasionally get choppy voice or calls drop out. But overall, much happier with visible!

I wanted to get this deal switching from straight talk, but customer service offered $30 off for 6 months ( gold $55 plan plus additional $5 autopay discount that I already do ) when I called in for port out PIN. she also informed me that once this promo rate expires they will keep applying different promos, do I believe them? or should I just get this? Only benefit for me would be smartwatch capability.

This plan gets Verizon's priority data, and it's cheaper than the temporarily discounted offer the rep gave you. It also comes with free smart watch plan and 24 international roaming days in addition to unlimited roaming in Canada and Mexico. I would jump.

This is for people that want a little more time to use up their current service before switching over. If you get them to send you a sim instead of the e-sim, he is saying you have 30-60 days until you have to activate your service. I'd look into it though just to be sure.
