Yes most people will see an offer and typically just stay with the company regardless of there being a better deal elsewhere. It's just an issue for SDers who want to switch plans around every year since they won't give returning customers a good offer, even though the percentage of people talking to support just for that is very low.

First off... everyone needs to be a new customer if you want the best price.

And on BF... Visible's half price offer was extended to existing customers.

I was also very happy with Visible... but my time just expired and I jumped ship to MINT. While I was happy with Visible and I do like their global pass. I also experienced the same issues about the Voice was not as good... not so much drop out but when I first make a call, it goes nowhere and I get an echo and I need to restart and occasionally my voice would sound terrible and I needed to recall, but this only happened about once a week so it never really bothered me.

In MA, I would have to say that Visible can not compare to Mint in speed of data and call celerity. I also went to Miami and I felt the same thing. I was on Visible while my kid is on Mint and every few days we did a speed test to compare and Mint beat Visible with every single speed test. Even where I live, I get 35MB/s with Visible and 350MB/s with Mint. It use to be the same speed but some time in the last year Tmobile has been updating their towers to UC towers and this has increased my data speed ten fold.

So even though I experienced Mint is faster and better (call clarity).. I was happy with Visible 22.50 per months and plan on switching back in a year. less ten days. But of course I am a happier with Mint at $15 per month.

VISIBLE VS MINT

Network Speed... I find Mint is faster, sometimes more then ten times faster (metro west Boston).

Data Cap.... Mint gives you 50GB and then throttles you for the rest of the month. Visible is truelly unlimited.

HotSpot... Mint is full speed but is capped at 20GB and is part of the 50GB. Visible is capped at a speed of 15MB/s but there is no cap.

I personally find 15MB/s a little too slow. I feel it should be 25MB/s to eliminate most lag.

International Visiting. For both plans Canada, Mexico and US is covered.. But Visible offers you 24 days of full access in different countries. With Mint you can put money on a "mint wallet" and you can get the same access but you need to pay additional money. Visible is better IMHO but you can manage with Mint and it is very affordable.

International Calling. As said, Canada, Mexico and US are covered. BUT with Visible you have access to like 100+ countries you can call for free, such as Brazil. And again, with Mint you need to setup a "mint wallet" and put money on it and you then can call countries like Brazil. And again, it is CHEAP.

As mentioned... I switch between the two. I have yet to buy anything but a yearly plans, I am willing to go month to month next time for one or two months before the sales start again.

I may chat with Verizon CS instead of going through the web link to test the waters. Maybe Verizon can only provide one per month discount on every account.

I started using "insurance brookers" to help me get the best deal on insurance and it saved me thousands. But for Cell phone and internet service... yah, new customer is the way to go.

Look, I worked for a top 500 company for 23 years... and I promise you THEY DON'T CARE about their employees or their customers. It is all about making money.
