Did anyone successfully redeem capital one offer?
In general, Tmobile is the best and then comes Verizon. But it really depends on where you live. But I would imagine that both networks are good.
I tend to get faster data speeds when I use Mint Mobile (Tmobile) then Visible (Verizon). But the difference really does not change the way I live my life. Maybe there were more hiccups on the Visible network... but again, nothing to worry about.
I personally switch between Visible and Mint every year I switch.
This deal does come back but not as frequently as Mint Mobile's plan... may need to wait a few months to see this deal again.
But you have 30 days for the day you purchase to activate... if you buy this on 04/29 and wait 30 days... we get you to the 29th of May.
There are positives and negatives....
Positives to getting this Deal.
1. 24 days of Global Travel
2. 500 minutes a month you can call up to 80+ countries for free
3. UNLIMITED hotspot but you are capped at 15mb/s
4. True unlimited data, never slows you down based on usage.
5. Video Streaming: Supports up to 4K UHD quality when on 5G Ultra Wideband.
6. Sale happens but not crazy often like Mint Mobile
Positives about Mint Mobile
1. Seems to have a faster network even though Verizon is fast enough. I live in MetroWest Boston and I get over 300mb/s download speeds on Tmobile's network and I get about 35mb/s on Verizon's network. A year ago I got about the same speeds between the two but Tmobile has upgarded their towers to UC towers which seems to be a game changer.
2. PRICE... $15/mnth is cheaper then $18.75/mnth
3. Addons are cheaper, such as usage in another country BUT you get 24 FREE days of usage with Visible... so obviously Visible is WAY CHEAPER... but for a few extra bucks, you can buy data in another country.
4. Sale for 50% off their service seems to happen almost every month.
5. Data CAPPED at 50GB per month and hotspot is capped at 20GB per month (and is part of the 50GB). When you hit your cap your data speed gets dramatically reduced to 3G speeds. But when you do use your hotspot it is at full speed.
6. When you do use your hotspot it is more fluid then Visible's due to the extra bandwith... 15MB/s vs 300+MB/s (where I live).
Other things to consider... YOUR PHONE. The issue is that not all phones have Verizon's Ultra Wide bands, such as oneplus phones. If you want "all" bands for every phone company... you need to get an Apple, Samsung or Google. I personally am a Google fan and hate Samsung's bloat and spyware.
