Worked for me. Of note, the discounts only apply for quantity of 1 (it was $2.90 for 1 with 15% S&S as the OP indicated, over $11 for 2).

Any recommendations for playing volleyball at the beach for hours?

If it's peak sun... either a thick layer of really sticky mineral sunscreen (Thinksport makes one like this, but I'm sure there are many others that are as good or better) or, even better, something from Europe that has the newer UV blocking ingredients that don't degrade as fast in the sun. You still have to worry about both kinds washing away with sweat though, which is why the grosser/stickier products are good for this use case.

If it's American chemical sunscreen, I think the conventional wisdom of reapply every two hours still applies.

My coupon was $1.19 + the 30%, but still a good deal.

Apply in the morning and let it fully dry (20-30 minutes) before putting on clothes or starting activity.

I play club sports and routinely participate in weekend tournaments where I'll be out in the sun for several hours both days. I'm pale, so I struggled with reapplying and getting burns using standard chemical sunscreens. One day, I looked at the actual instructions on the bottle. Since I've started applying as soon as I wake up and letting it dry while I get stuff together (and before I get dressed), I can go an entire day with this exact sunscreen while only reapplying to high-contact areas like face and jersey neckline. I play beach ultimate frisbee tournaments and use the same methodology; I'll get minor burns because a particularly intense dive scraped off the sunscreen (and some skin), but the caked layer of sand sticking to my sweat seems to help.

If you apply right before activity (or worse, after you start sweating), no chemical sunscreen is going to last very long.

I'd suggest applying any type of sunscreen more frequently than every two hours if you're sweating a lot playing volleyball. Especially if you're wiping your skin with a arm band/towel etc.

100% agree. Sunscreen bottle instructions require extra planning and effort but they do work better when done in advance. Though people are not excited to wait for so long before going outside
