I found a smaller, spring tension, set of clamps for $15 (not on a deal) but I think these having the ability to adjust tension and placement of pressure will be superior. There is only 14lbs of pressure with the smaller clamps, and I'm not sure if that will be sufficient.

In my opinion, this style has a design flaw. If you clamp these to the inside corner of, say, a drawer there's nowhere for excess glue to squeeze-out. These angle brackets need to have a small notch cut out of the outside corner so that there's a gap for squeeze-out. Otherwise it creates a mess and depending on the type of glue, you run the risk of gluing your bracket to the workpiece.
It's odd that they have a notch on the brackets' inside corner but not on the outside corner.

You can easily notch it yourself with a belt sander or angle grinder if it really bugs you.

I think in general these are made for cabinet assembly which doesn't necessarily require glue.
