It's not exactly random, Firebat is not bad and I see it a lot. I've got 2 different systems from them before, one was perfect 100%, the other one had funny Windows with funny "addons" that triggered all antiviruses and Malwarebytes. So I nuked it and re-installed, looks good now.

Very good deal for the specs!

Perfect for homme, office, emulation and light PC gaming.
Having x2 m.2 ports means that you could sacrifice one to add an m.2 adapter and use an eGPU for a massively better gaming performance.
Soldered RAM is the only bummer, BUT 16gb is plenty and I think that is the reason that these are so cheap, which is a win.

most people realize 32gb of ram costs about as much as this whole damn thing these days.

Do I download Windows 11 from Microsoft? The key is on the motherboard?
Thanks.

Keep in mind an N100 is far more power efficient so these two are almost on opposite ends of the spectrum. If you have a use case that is low compute, like running Home Assistant, you're better off with an N100 even with less RAM. This is definitely better though if you're going to run a whole bunch of VMs all the time, or even a desktop replacement sort of use case.
This should be good for my use, which is to replace my i7-2600 desktop, which also has 16GB and has a 1TB SSD and which is running Windows 11 thanks to FlyOOBE, and it works fine, but a bit faster would be nice to have. I don't use it for gaming, but I do use 3 monitors.

but it says it can do 4K160hz via displayport, just not via HDMI2.1? even though HDMI2.1 can do 120hz
just because it "can" in theory doesnt mean this chip is capable of doing it. for what its worth I run moonlight on my apple tv and get 4k 120hz no problem in the living room. just saying if the sole purpose of the machine is moonlight there's other cheaper options

RAM prices drop? Haha, good one. Thanks for the April Fool's joke!

Word is open AI dumped a data center contract and it was a huge volume that's going to get back at least into the server side of things.

Sincere question: is that enough now days? I hear people speak of elements, baked-in, so to speak, into the hardware components, that are reintegrated into any new OS install. Or maybe that has to do with the Windows license and nothing else. Please correct me if I'm wrong, for I admittedly do not know. I'm attempting to separate hearsay from reality. Thanks.

Seems like a great deal if you are in need of a mini pc like this, this pricepoint is the home of mini pc's with 8gbs of ram and n100 cpus or possibly a r5 5500u if your lucky. This is MUCH better, if your willing to take a lil risk with the random china brand.
My previous mini pc was a Firebat N100 16gb DDR5 and it ran flawlessly. I used it several hours, every single day for 1.5 years.

We shall see more deals like this as the ram prices drop
I made $16,000 on Micron stock today I wouldn't count on major discounts any time soon. Its down in after hours trading but it will be right back to almost $400 a share in no time. Its free money.

Now that is a great budget deal
Soldered Ram is faster and 16gb is plenty for normal use
Doesn't appear to be soldered RAM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7...vfk&t=227s Edit: or maybe it is Dear buyer
Please note: The RAM is permanently soldered to the motherboard and cannot
be upgraded or replaced. Weird they woudl have 2 versions of the same PC though
