I have some several different models of these 31.5" Acer 1440. Such a great value for a quality screen. No gaming yet but for productivity these are awesome. 1x 49" will set u back $600+. To me, 3 of these is more fuctional. Essentially 6 large windows open on screen at any time.

I've I've had this monitor for a month now and primarily use it for gaming. It is a VA panel with good contrast and clarity. Matte finish, but the reflections are somewhat annoying with daylight from a window, but the curve helps a bit.
When I specifically look for smearing in the UFO test, yes I can defintely see it. In actual gameplay (BF, AC), I don't notice it... not sure if the smearing isn't bad, the specific games, or my eyes dont register it (or combination).
Ultimately, I decided to keep the monitor and am happy with it.
