Pictures look fake, some shows a butter knife, some show a steak knife, some have rivets on the handles and some do not. I dont know what you will actually get.

if we're looking at the same review, those other knives were there for comparison...apparently the serration on these is both light and just on one side for ending third/half of it from the tip.

shipped and sold by amazon, so should be the genuine article- granted this is about what the set without the wood case goes for at tjmaxx...just that wooden case appears to be jacked up or warped in a lot of the reviews.

I can confirm. I got this set before and they aren't great. As you noted, only the tip area is serrated and not particularly sharp.
