I'm on the crappy new "standard" tier and it's still showing me the sale prices, so not just for Premium Plus. ("standard" tier doesn't let you listen to the audiobook anymore if your subscription is cancelled.)

Oh good, Amazon enshittified their subscriptions, I see.

Before, if they offered a free trial or reduced price trial, you still got a credit each month. Looks like that is gone unless you pay for the premium plan and it looks like you don't get access to the sales either.

Thanks amazon, for giving me more reason to remove myself from your services.

Hope this helps someone, but I only have Amazon Prime and I see the Audible sale prices on Amazon's site. You just need to select the audiobook version and then scroll down to see the sale price. It's below where it says it's "Free with Audible subscription".

Project Hail Mary is an outstanding book and the audible version is better than the printed version. There are things in the book that need to be heard. Those who have read it know what I'm talking about. The narrator is outstanding.

Same here, but that was before they had the "standard" tier. Now it's a different tier. It did change recently-ish.

That isn't correct, if you cancel your subscription any unused credits are forfeited.

Any audiobooks you purchase with credits, on the premium plus tier, WILL remain available in your account even if you cancel your subscription.

But you need to use all credits before cancelling.
