I bought this TV at Black Friday and I'm overall pretty happy with it. The heart display is nice, and is certainly better than a black rectangle on the wall. How convincing it is depends on the lighting. With sunlight shining directly on it, there will certainly be a reflection. IDK if adults are fooled, but our friends kids did not realize it was a TV FWIW.

Would you recommend it at this price strictly as an art/photo display? I have a frame TV and love it in for that purpose. Where I want to put the next one doesn't have a space for a one connect box so this intrigues me.

Any comment on the mounting? I have an accent wall with wood slats and currently has a mount directly mounted to the wall where I left blank without wood slats. I guess I will need to make it flush first?

You would need to make the outlet behind it flush to mount it flush. But the included mount with magnets does the job once you get the butt end of the cord out of the way. I tried to post a pic of mine against the wall but dont know how to make it show.

I guess this is them clearing out last year's model, but dang, there's a huge price difference if you want the current model. What's it got that makes it worth $900 more for the 55" and $1200 more for the 65"?

I bought it. It's nice, not a bad tv and Google display is nice too.

I think it's a good tv, gaming on it is nice as well. The pictures look good too. As long as your not so nit picky about displays and get consumed by all the flashy words oled qled you should be good.
