I bought a 55" LG C2 OLED a few years ago for like $1500. Just recently bought my Mom a 65" TCL Q77 QLED for $400 from Costco. I honestly cannot tell a difference. The TCL QLED is really good.
I have a 5 year old TCL QLED and have had problems with the edge lighting going out so there's dim spots on a few spots. And the panel looks awful in plenty of places. White scenes are awful.

Although still kind of pricey to me, I almost want to jump on this, since OLED, but so many on here recommend Google OS, so kind of had my heart set on that. I had a LG 3D tv way back in the day, but was unhappy it died after 5 years or so, and if i recall, at some point they even stopped supporting its built in smart tv OS. I dont remember if you could even add apps back then, or you were just stuck with what it came with... Another TV i was considering was TCL Qm6 mini-LED at Costco, $529, but Rtings says it not impressive display wise and just mediocre in HDR. They also have Hisense U6 mini LED for $579

Have been waiting for A 65" ; oled under 1k. Picked this one up this week, absolutely no regrets. Amazing TV. I can see how someone might be swayed to step up to a C or G series when viewing side-by-side in a super bright environment like a warehouse store. But once I got this thing home, it leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. If anything, the peak brightness is too bright for a dark room, and plenty bright for a light one. 10/10.

Same. Bought a B5 yesterday (because I missed out on the C5 price error the other day). I too was worried that it would be too dim for our living room but it can get really bright. My wife told me to actually lower the brightness lol. This tv is amazing so far (coming from a Vizio pq65-f1). I was thinking about a Bravia 8 (refurb from Microcenter at $850, but only had a 90 day warranty. Need to spend an additional $180 for 3 year coverage, so now we are over $1100 after taxes). Having a 5 yr warranty on the B5 was a big benefit.
