If you've ever seen how thin the lead wires that go to the auxiliary ports in cars are (not nearly as thick as they used to be when they were legitimate cigarette lighters), there's no way you'd try pulling the max off this charger for an extended period of time.... just my two cents.

Of course, depends on the car and expense the manufacturer out into the wiring, but I've seen the insulation of the dash wires melted and blackened after long bouts of pulling way too much power through them. *shrug*

Aux power ports can potentially be "safe" up to 180 watts (ymmv) when calculating 15A at 12v, but that's a decent amount of energy.....

That said, was in for one, but code didn't take. haha oh well.
