If I wasn't tight on cash I'd def upgrade to this. Have one the classic ridgid shop vacs. It's solid, affordable, and no real complaints. But having better wheels, a better hose, and quieter sound (and more HP) sounds like all the things that would make it from good enough to an easy tool to use. I hesitate to use my shop vac sometimes bc it's so clunky.

It is. That's why I bought the Ryobi 18V portable ones. No plug to use, portable and lightweight, can do wet or dry. Though it's a different class but still can clean when it's needed.

No brainer at this price. I used to wear noise cancellation earbuds with my old shop vac if i was using it for an extended amount of time. With this one, you can have a normal conversation while it's running. Huge difference in sound and i've noticed no reduction in power.
