I really like the stand! Usually it's just the boards.
My mom stands her boards against the backsplash and when they fall over it's really loud.

Fwiw - Amazon has this for $1 more, and that seems to be about the normal price. https://www.amazon.com/Astercook-...to_dp_puis

This is the worst set of cutting boards I've ever bought. They got clear scratches all over them on the first day, making them look like they'd been used for years after just one use. Even if they were $10, I wouldn't recommend them.

I thought the fact that it's carbonized makes it great and expensive.

What cutting boards do you recommend? I've never had a cutting board that doesn't scratch from...being used to cut things on, with sharp knives.

The most important tool in cooking is not the cutting board but your knives. Wood or bamboo is the best to soften the multiple cuts the knives have to endure. Mineral oil can maintain or restore the scratches on any board but the knife edge, you will need to learn how to hone and sharpen.

Harder woods like acacia, teak and bamboo don't show knife marks as much but are tough on your knife edges. Softer words like maple, cherry and walnut are much friendlier on your knife edges. End grain boards are nicer but also cost more.

Exactly. Cutting boards exist to protect your countertops. They are designed to "soften the blow" to your knife edge, hence why they are generally not made out of hard woods. I've never heard someone complain about how their cutting boards get scratched up...until now 😅
