Is this subscription managed by Amazon or directly by Microsoft? Can this subscription be used to extend a subscription currently managed by Amazon? (For years Amazon had this available for $50 or less a few times per year, usually with gift card purchase, but the subscription is managed by Amazon)

Usually about this price and also bundled with a VPN subscription, tax software, or other software around black Friday. This is a decent price if you can't wait.

I had 5 years of family stacked from a Newegg sale and paid $100 to upgrade the primary account to premium with that lasting for the full 5 years despite what the small print says. Worked about a month ago and absolutely worth for the extra copilot features for office at $20/yr.

Assuming this recent Microsoft 365 Personal offer at Woot (https://computers.woot.com/offers...ription-21) works the same way, User "tf1" in the Woot Forums (https://forums.woot.com/t/microso.../2354375/3) reports that the subscription is managed directly through Microsoft.

"I've bought these a few times and added to my subscription with no problems.
  1. Log into your microsoft account
  2. Click on "Subscriptions"
  3. Click on "Manage: Microsoft 365 Personal" (via browser, this is near the top of the screen)
  4. Click on "Redeem a Code or Prepaid Card"
  5. Click on "Redeem Your Product Key"
  6. Enter the code (or just copy & paste it from the email containing it)
    7)Voila!"
