I've been slowing moving my smart home devices away from subscription based manufacturers. This may be a welcome addition. Does anyone have experience with this and Google Home?

had 5 of this for almost 2 years, it needs sunlight..... the one installed next to a tree(10 foot away) is always out of battery.... good for back yard but if you expecting a lot of motion traffics then don't use this, if your kids or pets won't spend hours in front of this thing then the battery will hold, otherwise..... better get something with bigger battery inside.

They offer a cloud storage solution, but local storage is free to use and play back.

I've been wanting Eufy cameras for a while but with the current memory shortage, it makes more sense to go cloud. 64-128gb cards are $25-35 for cheap ones. Camera rated cards are twice as expensive. Cloud is about $120/year for all cameras.

Get a homebase 3 or latest one. I think it comes with 1tb hdd and has ai-like features without paying subscription.

Google home recognize this as a "light" and does not provide live feed.
