LG's 27 inch UltraGear tandem OLED stands out for gaming, with deep blacks, no backlight bleed, strong colors, and sharp image quality. The matte coating is a plus for setups that cannot handle glossy screens, and the 280 hertz panel plus OLED contrast make it appealing for HDR play. The main drawbacks are dark scene banding, fuzzy text and weaker web browsing compared with IPS, along with flimsy controls and unreliable LG software. Order cancellations and price error messages also clouded the deal, making it a strong display with some real caveats.

  • The monitor can perform well for gaming, with strong in-game results after setup.

    Loadedbeermanshekelz4dealz

  • The monitor can deliver noticeably deeper true blacks compared with an IPS panel.

    Loadedbeerman

  • The monitor can reduce backlight bleed versus an IPS setup.

    Loadedbeerman

  • The $400 price can be viewed as a strong value for a 4th gen WOLED model.

    jsoarer23

  • LG order fulfillment can fail, including cancellations for promotion errors or pickup failures.

    SmilingFuel4943Panikkcpom1K3G4

  • Dark scenes can show banding or smeared dark grey areas that look worse than IPS.

    jsoarer23klaiiiishekelz4dealz

  • The matte coating can be a drawback for shoppers who prefer glossy screens.

    TheFrugalOnejsoarer23

  • LG software control can be unreliable, including Windows crashes when running in the background.

Mine was awaiting shipping tracking. I called and they said "yep it's cancelled" in a nice corporate way. Seems to happen a lot with this company.

Looks like those that did store pickup were canceled. Some people on Reddit claimed theirs shipped.

Let us know if yours ships. So far no one with a shipping order has reported theirs cancelled despite what LG claims they'll do.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

One person who chose expedited shipping received it. Another user said LG sent him a return label so that one probably slipped through as well. My order for 2 were cancelled for "failure to pick up" even though my pick up date was this Saturday. They are sure going out of their way to lose customers for life, the shipped and recalling is hilarious.

I just received a text saying my order was cancelled due to a price mistake. I knew this price was too good to be true.

Got the message stating the order was canceled due to their pricing error. They want 550$ for the monitor instead. Welp, what a disappointing experience.

Same here, all four of my monitors shipped and were expected to be delivered tomorrow but the tracking numbers I got show a return to sender requested on the UPS tracking. I did get a coupon code for $100 off: 27GX100 but only works on one monitor per cart.

That's bizarre they went as far to recall their shipments.
Anyway, Life's Good as a company is as good as dead to me now.
