Some ppl don't like its matte coating. There's a newer model with a glossy coating

Got this monitor when it came out, works great nothing to complain about. Coming from an IPS the true blacks are very noticeable, no more backlight bleed. Paid 600 for mine. If I had the desk space I'd buy a second one.

Smoking deal for current year panel tech. If the specs fit your requirements, you probably won't find any better in the near future.

I purchased one open box from Best Buy not too long ago. Was my first OLED & coming from using a big old tv, I was wowed by the colors & sharpness. Build quality was solid. There was an issue that I did notice when using it. I noticed that banding (?) issue at times during dark scenes which for the price I paid was a bit of a let down. Not sure if this is an issue with all monitors using this newer tech or just the one I had.
I also wish it had a glossy screen, as I returned this one & purchased a monitor with glossy & to me there's a positive difference in colors.
At $400 for a 4th gen WOLED, that's a fantastic price, I'd consider getting it.

Glad to get something that has a matte coating. I can't move my windows and I refuse to move my desk to try to make glossy work.

Of course the review is from this dude. He's got a hate boner for matte coating displays.

I have this monitor and it's great. I bought it for $650 last November. I'm a little surprised it is going down in price so fast. I haven't encountered any issues with it. It works great so far. I'm buying a 2nd to have matching monitors.

Yeah I don't get what audience is being served by a review that just disagrees with the fundamental use case and uses that to say negative statements about the product. Some people need a matte coating. This monitor is often cited elsewhere as one of the best in its class for that need, but you wouldn't get that impression by that video.
