My only gripe with solar lights is you can't use them on the north side of a house because they won't get sunlight. They have to be out in the yard far enough to avoid the shade of the house. Other than that, they work great the night after the sun is out.

How do you preserve the solar panel? Mine seem to get cloudy and foggy all the time after 1 or 2 years use.

Buy ones that come with extended warranties I guess - I treat them as consumables after swapping out the batteries with a higher quality one.

warm white...gross
Unless you live in a prison you should only ever use warm white lights. Look at all the high end professional lighting pictures, you will only ever see warm white. Now look at the trailer park...make your decision

Here in Arizona you are lucky to get 1 year out of these cheap solar lights. The window is usually plastic and turns cloudy from the hot sun.
