Great deal. I ordered one a few months ago and paid much more. Solid AVR.

Great receiver and great price.

Of course as soon as I bought mine, the big streaming services pulled Dolby Atmos off all but their most expensive tiers expecting people to upgrade at ridiculous prices.

If I were to do it all over again today, I would probably get a nice 5.1 receiver instead.

Apple and Peacock still have Atmos on base tiers

Not a bad idea.
Streaming audio isn't great quality.
You get nothing near what Atmos is capable of with it.

I agree, no need to send this much for it.

I think any 4K netflix tier offers Atmos...I cant imagine paying this for a receiver and balking about paying for a 4K netflix membership

The issue with the " nice 5.1 receiver" is they pull a lot of other things when they subtract channel count
Especially it seems, with a better amp/power supply

I would never do that. It's 2026 and you want to buy a brand new AVR that doesn't have ATMOS?!!! A truly odd comment from someone who spent nearly $2k on this machine!

This reminds me of the stack of old Yamaha receivers I need to get rid of. Since nobody wants to purchase an old Yamaha receiver I guess they need to be recycled. How does this comment help? No sense adding another to the recycle pile.
