Of course as soon as I bought mine, the big streaming services pulled Dolby Atmos off all but their most expensive tiers expecting people to upgrade at ridiculous prices.
If I were to do it all over again today, I would probably get a nice 5.1 receiver instead.

Streaming audio isn't great quality.
You get nothing near what Atmos is capable of with it.
I agree, no need to send this much for it.

The issue with the " nice 5.1 receiver" is they pull a lot of other things when they subtract channel count
Especially it seems, with a better amp/power supply
