I have this set…the handle is mediocre and the accessories awful.

That said…nearly every bit you'll encounter is included, and they're actually much more nicely machined and of surprisingly good quality steel compared to typical $7-$10 precision sets.

Yes, better quality exists (Wiha if cost is no concern), but this number of bits of this quality at this price will be hard to beat.

Repped for this info.

Quick question. Comes with the magnetizer/demagnetizer, so do you need to magnetize the bits yourself, or are they strong enough as shipped to hold screws? I'd rather use a strong Rare-earth magnet if I had to do it. Those included ones are typically pretty weak. Might only be good for demagnetizing.

The bit driver has magnetic bit retention, and does lend some magnetism to the bits if memory serves.
I can't recall if they shipped magnetized or not.
I have tested the magnetizer/demagnetizer and it works, but if it's something you need frequently I'd buy a better one for sure.

Completely agree. I have this and it has become my go to kit for small part disassembly. I ditched the suction cup and other accessories, and use the extra squares in the case to hold screws for whatever I'm taking apart. IMO, the best feature is the bits are made of harder S2 steel instead of the crappy cr-v you typically find in these cheap kits.

I have a few kits like this. The material is all poop quality. That really doesn't matter for occasional tinkerers though
