This is the 970 which is not attachment capable FYI, the DCST972x1 is currently $350 at Home Depot with a 3/9ah and 2/6ah battery and charger and is the attachment capable model.

I have this model made five years ago. This design is really prone to motor overheating. Mine burned out after one season. When I got the replacement motor, I took the tool apart and found no thermal management circuitry inside so I made my own. I found out it takes about seven minutes of using the string trimmer before the motor heats up to 90C which is enough to weaken the neodymium magnet inside. The airvents on top of the motor assembly get clogged with grass pretty quickly, too. Other than that, this is a very capable weed whacker. Oh, the included head is useless, get a Huskvarna T35 universal one. Also the shroud is too small for most jobs, so you can buy a larger one from DeWalt, it is about $20.
