Me, certainly guilty as charged. Born & reared as a city boy (small town). In the mid '70s, I moved to a rural area & a redneck friend advised me to get a yard cat to keep the mice/rats/snakes away, so I did. Ever since then I have had at least one yard cat, moving in '91 to a semi-rural area, still having one to this day. I do not like cats. They are nothing but self-serving ingrates, caring only about what more a person can do for it.

don't agree with your 'self serving ingrates'. Have found cats to be affectionate, loyal and endearing fur babies, even if I must act as its servant some days. They add so much joy, laughter and activity to the home, very empty without one. (indoor cat, no outside for us)
