This is a product you pay for a name brand with a decent warranty. You likely shouldn't spend less than 900 dollars for crawlspace use.

AloAir is one of the better names in the industry. Hard to tell how good the deal is however.

Just trying to learn - I never knew these existed. Bought my share of $199 dehumidifiers for basement. So my question is - do these remove more/faster, or do you only use in extreme humidity situations (enclosed space or after basement flooding etc ?)

I have a really hard time believing the 120 PPD claim based on physical size alone , my AprilAire E100 is 100 pints per day and is 15x14x26 vs this being 12x13x19. You can't magically shrink a compressor or a set of coils that much and still get higher capacity. Not to mention the 4.1 Amp rating as well.

FWIW, the rating also claims "up to 120 pints of moisture per day at saturation (55 PPD at AHAM)." Saturation = 100% humidity = so humid the air is literally condensing on surfaces...'dewing' on everything. 55 PPD actually seems obtainable, again, based on size alone.

*I work in HVAC and this is basically a little air conditioner....I kinda know what I am talking about Wink

P.S. Amazon page claims 230v but that appears clearly wrong.

This seems to be the spec sheet (based on model #, not appearance):

This spec sheet looks like the same unit but lacks the "S" at the end of the model.

TLDR: err on the size of too large when sizing a crawl space dehumidifier. Better to run briefly, only a few times a day, vs 24/7/365. And buy a hanging kit...they make install super simple and a one person job.
