Are these basically the same speakers, with the 32" just being spaced out with more plastic?
Edit: saw the 32" open box excellent is $25.99. Grabbed one to try it out, because why not. 😂

I bought the 32 last time and honestly I was impressed by the quality. I wasn't expecting it to be decent but it's been perfect for our bedroom tv

Not sure if this is the same one as NS-SB21, just without subwoofer. If it is, it has absolutely no bass. NS-SB21 is $35 more right now from Best Buy and makes a world of difference. I use it as a cheap garage speaker set up and for $70 its been great.

Pretty much anything is better than the speakers built into modern TVs.

Those speakers are rear firing, so you're relying entirely on reflected sound. And they're typically small, underpowered, and tinny.

Even the most basic of soundbars are going to be an improvement over that.

The only exception can be if the TV uses the screen as a speaker like my few year old Sony. I have accidentally watched things on it w/o having my AV receiver going and only noticed it after the fact. But for 99% of TVs a soundbar is a huge improvement.
