I had two badgers leak and failed in me causing thousands in damage.

There is a class action against Insinkerator

Why is the Insinkerator so expensive (even on sale)? Costco has the American Std garbage disposal that was under $80 on sale (before tariff bs). Works very well.

I recently purchased the C-5000, the 3/4HP version and it's super nice, quiet, and was really easy to install and at the price for the full 1HP it's almost a no-brainer if you need or want a new disposal to jump on this!

Yeah, wish the 1HP was on sale when I got the 3/4 HP ones, claims to be even quieter than the 3/4 HP on

you know I have thrown out more InSinkErator Disposals than any other. The best units were the old Kitchenaid and Kenmore not sure who made those. So while this price might be better than other places keep in mind this product seems to have been built with repeat sales in mind

This one is great - installed it myself replacing a previous one that died. Would recommend.

This not really a deal if it's gonna break quick.

how's your 3/4 HP one? I bought the c3000 when it was on sale for $129 last month but haven't installed it yet. we don't use our garbage disposal too much so should I stick with the c3000 or is this c7000 worth the upgrade?

I agree. I have one and have put them in two of my friends sinks. All are fine after 3 or 4 years now.

its very quiet but only when the stopper/filter is installed, grinds everything. I accidentally dropped a screw and luckily there are magnets that catch and hold them so they dont damage the blades

The only miss of the American Standard is lack of the Allen key for unjamming, but it happens pretty infrequently compared to my previous disposals.
