I got one like this a few weeks ago, it does not charge my laptop at full "Speed" when using, seems to have some limitations. But otherwise works fine. Some times its easier to use this HDMI for an external monitor, and my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port stock, this helps.

I just got this 2 days ago. It does provide full speed charging and external SSD also run the same speed as directly connected to my MacBook vs via this hub.
The price I paid was $15.99.

It doesn't have Ethernet port.

Weird port selection, the laptop should have Ethernet and SD card slot at this point. Good price though

This is often a matter of your charger not having enough power after it feeds the hub. Try a 100w or greater charger. If I plug in a 67w, my laptop will complain if it goes through a hub. Still charges fine in the end, though.
