It carries all the ratings that modern oils that perform beyond 5k carry. I see no reason to treat it any differently than standard intervals your vehicle mfr uses, whether that's computer-calculated or the old-school every-Xk miles.

Interestingly, from I can see, it's $30 for 2x 5qt in-store so online is actually cheaper. I really like that the Costco app lets you check in-store inventory and prices now.

You are correct, it does carry all the same ratings as the other oils. As far a oil change timing, I just prefer a 5k oil change vs waiting for the system to tell me. Not saying that's the best way and many people are fine waiting, just my personal preference. I was always taught it's cheaper to change oil (especially diy) than replace an engine and 5k seems to be a good spot for me. The little extra piece of mind for me is worth it given that I tend to keep vehicles until they stop working.

I don't see how you can get this quality for cheaper. Seems like a no brainer to stock up on.

This is the best deal that comes around all the time, but sometimes there are rebates or clearance

How do you do that? I didn't see the option in the app.

Any idea who makes this? I'm on the fence about oil from Kirkland and Supertech, even though the anecdotes are positive. It takes years and years for the value of good (or bad) oil to really show up.

It's warren oil, the same people who make supertech. I'm thinking if you are changing every 5000 miles (especially given that it's so cheap to do so with this), it'll be no issues. But obviously, ymmv

In for two sets to cover my old GM (5w-30) and newer FCA (0W-20) family fleet. Comes out to $3/qt delivered with tax. Rare to see a "deal" like this. Last time I bought oil en masse like this was via SD for Amazon Basics. Got like eight gallons. The BEST SD ever was when Grainger (b&m only) put those six-gallon boxes on sale for like $55/ea or something ridiculous like that about five years ago. I'm just now using the last last of it.

Click on the warehouse on the bottom of your app. Then click that you want to shop your warehouse.

I'm able to easily see that my warehouse doesn't carry most weights and that I'd need to order it online.
