109ppi is about what 42" 4k and 27" 2k is. Most 27" monitors, especially gaming ones, are still 2k resolution.

Now, in general, OLED isn't as clear due to pixel layout. But that's much more an OLED issue than it is a PPI issue.

5th generation OLED that are just coming out "fix" the fuzzy text issue. They were on display at CES and launching around now.

I'm looking at one now... and had one at work. Had a weird "banding" issue that started on my workplace one, so it's in the shop for RMA repair now. It's great when it works. I don't use it for gaming, just productivity / video editing.

I bought this very monitor at my local Sam's in July last year for $360. Love playing Split Fiction with my son. Two 16:9 monitors stitched together. Very nice for gaming. Text looks like shit though. LOL

I bought this monitor a few months ago and I love it for video editing. Text is crystal clear and it is awesome for video editing or gaming The one thing I do not care about it is the "OLED care" but every OLED computer monitor does similar convolutions.

I had a (different) 49" ultra wide and didn't like it - wound up being TOO wide (and not tall enough) where I'd have to turn my head and 'look around' to see my screen. Maybe for gaming but for work it drove me nuts.

Swapped for a Dell 40" UW at 3x the cost - love it, but not a fair comparison to this deal ofc.

I have this monitor and I went from 2x 24" and 1x 32" 16x9 monitors. I'd realistically suggest just going with a good 34" instead of this.
OLED isn't a huge difference, but every 24 hours it forces a pixel clean and there is no way to opt out of it. You can cancel it and it'll just come back 5 minutes later and its my biggest gripe with the monitor if I want it to auto clean. It is possible to disable it entirely but there should be a better middle ground for it.

I have the 240hz.
Yes, OLED is a huge difference.
Yes, it's better than Samsung.

I picked this over the 52" because of OLED.
I do wish it was taller though.
