I have a pair of open back Sundaras and I can't imagine it sounding better being closed.

These have been this price for a couple years now. Surprised to see these posted. Fyi, they are nothing like the normal sundara's and pretty bad without eq. Considering I bought my Sundara cheaper and it's much better idk if I would recommend this to anyone. I think most people would be better off spending a bit more and getting the fiio ft1. Better sound without eq and an amp isn't a necessity like it is with these.

Listened to these at a HifiMan demo... they are genuinely bad sounding, and the build quality is poor as well.
I own the HifiMan Sundara and have used them for years, and they are awesome... fully recommend. Regardless of price, if you are looking for closed back headphones, stay away from these.

I got the open back Sundara in the previous sale. They have extremely elevated upper-mid frequencies. Right now they are going back for refund.

Yeah but I wouldn't say "extremely" unless you are coming from your typical jbl, sony, bose type stuff. They are definitely forward there but nothing extreme compared to something considered goated like the hd600. It is more noticeable when under powered though.

The closed are awful compared to the Open Sundaras.
