Best Buy $69.99 each when you buy 2 (Thanks ElatedSpaniel543)
The MX Master 4 is a premium productivity mouse that feels smoother and quieter than the MX Master 3S, with nicer materials, comfortable ergonomics, and a Logi Bolt receiver included. The haptics are still early and not widely used in software, and the side wheel can feel less responsive for volume changes. Long term durability is a real question, since the MX 3S has reports of sticky rubber and peeling, while other long use experiences have held up well. It remains a strong fit for office work if you value feel and features over pure value.
Office workers who want a quieter premium mouse, because the clicks are noticeably softer and the shape feels nicer in daily use.
People who prefer a horizontal productivity mouse over an ergonomic vertical shape, because it suits everyday office use better than wrist-pain relief.
Shoppers expecting a big leap over the previous model, because the upgrade may feel incremental and the older version can still look like the better value.
Buyers who want proven long-term durability, because prior MX mice have stopped working after a year or two and the rubberized material can become sticky and peel.
Yes. Best Buy has been offering the MX Master 4 at $69.99 each when buying two different MX Master 4 versions, and some shoppers also paired it with an MX 3S in cart to trigger promotional pricing. One reported workaround was buying the bundle and returning the 3S, though that can affect the refund amount.
Yes, the rubbery material on the MX Master 3S can become sticky and start peeling. Some long-term users report no degradation after years of heavy use, especially with clean hands and occasional alcohol wipes, so longevity appears to depend on wear and care.
Yes. The MX Master 4 is reported to be noticeably quieter than the 3S, with smoother clicks and a nicer-feeling material. The haptics are present but not especially impressive yet, and the side wheel can feel less responsive for volume changes.
The MX Master 4 feels nicer in hand and has smoother clicks, but the 3S is still the better value. The 4's haptics are not widely used yet, so the upgrade is mainly about feel rather than a major feature leap.
It includes a Logi Bolt receiver, so it is not Bluetooth-only. The product page may omit the dongle, but the listed part number corresponds to a Bolt receiver bundle.

If you know someone else that wants one, or you want two, you can add one two different versions of the MX Master 4 to your cart at Best Buy and you'll get both for $69.99 each.
I'm done with Logitech. Two MX stopped working after a year or two.
Yes, this seems to be the norm now for the MX line unfortunately, especially since some of them (like the anywhere) changed to the micro switches, or others. Luckily, you can replace both switches on the motherboard in about 20 minutes with kailh replacements that click nicer, are quieter (like the MX Master 4), and last forever. You just need a soldering iron. Tons of videos online. Even ifixit has a guide.
This shouldn't be necessary for a "premium" mouse, but the shape and features of these are really nice. Since replacing the switches, I haven't had any issues for years.
I read that the 4 has quiet clicks, up to 90% better than previous models. What's the real world comparison between 3s and 4 as far as click sound?
Yes it's noticeably quieter compared to the 3s. Not sure what it means by 90% better than previous models. But yes, it's definitely quieter than the 3s and as I noted, it feels nicer because of the material it uses.
I ordered the Best Buy deal and return the $30 3S so the MX4 is $70
Do you mean you bought two things and returned the 3s to keep the discounted MX4? Did you return it or simply canceled the 3s on your order? I'm tempted for a second MX4.
EDIT: Based on information, it looks like you will lose the discount if you decide to return one of the bundled items. Maybe someone can confirm.
Can you someone confirm if we return the 3S or not? Pick it up at all. Like the Home Depot hack. In this case, do we get to keep the MX Master 4 for $70?
Conflicting reports if this one is that much better than the 3S that is a great mouse. A post in another form that made me laugh about the MX4 mouse was that the "best thing about the MX4 is that it brought down the price of the MX3S". As much as I want to try a MX4, I decided to get a backup MX3S with a sale at Woot last week.
Returned the MX3s from Woot deal last week and decided to try Best Buy deal. Got a 3 and 4 for under 100. Hope to be able to return one of them and keep the other. Now that would be a SD!.

This guy is right. If I return the 3S they will charge me $17 instead of giving me a refund
i have every generation of the MX master until the latest one.
Reason why i stop getting the MX master is because i started using MX vertical / lift / Ergo years ago.
in term of the value, much like keyboard, it is your preference. i tend to spend money on things i use the most. so 100~200 isn't all that expensive when you consider the time you spend on those things.
but keep in mind that MX master series is, at the end of the day, a horizontal mouse. if you have wrist pains with prolong use, MX master isn't going to help you with it. and if you are using for FPS games for fast reactions.. there are better choices. I vastly prefer the vertical mouse for everyday, office use.
