Looks to be BT only? Post doesn't say anything about a dongle. EDIT: the PN on Logi site 910007560 shows Logi Bolt receiver. I'm in!

Conflicting reports if this one is that much better than the 3S that is a great mouse. A post in another form that made me laugh about the MX4 mouse was that the "best thing about the MX4 is that it brought down the price of the MX3S". As much as I want to try a MX4, I decided to get a backup MX3S with a sale at Woot last week.

Problem with the MX3S is the material it's made of. For the long term, expect it to degrade.

I have this and the 3s. The 4 feels nicer and the clicks smoother. The haptics are nothing special at the moment. Not many programs have taken advantage of it. Also, the side scroll wheel isn't as responsive when adjusting volume.

Despite the latter, I would get it over the 3s just because it feels nicer, but the 3s is the better value.

Been using a MX3S for over 3 years, over 8 hours a day. No signs of degradation. I keep my hands very clean and occasionally wipe the mouse with 70% alcohol (no black stains on paper towel). I assume removing oils and having a light grip is helping with longevity.

I use a mouse for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. It's arguably worth much more than $100. I've used various versions of this mouse for 10 years.

I'm done with Logitech. Two MX stopped working after a year or two.

Yes, I have a MX3s too and it still works fine except the rubbery material becomes sticky and start the peel off.

I read that the 4 has quiet clicks, up to 90% better than previous models. What's the real world comparison between 3s and 4 as far as click sound?

probably not, worth with what's being charged in today's inflated economy, how good are the materials, then what the item really costs if you factor costs from the popularity of logitech branding, popularity regardless of quality, hype, taxes, fees from that company...then it'll still be no for me

I can't speak to the 4 model, but I've used the 2, 3, and 3s for years. It is a very comfortable mouse and performs remarkably well.
Gaming aside, as that has different metrics for what people want, I can't imagine a better mouse than the Master. So yes, it is well worth the price. Yes it is expensive, but I tend to look for deals where it is $80-100 to get the savings.

Did they fix the problems around the thumb button getting stuck and the ratcheting wheel stop ratcheting?
