Almost bought these until I read the review stating that the lids don't work while the pan has the handle on. Really? That is very dumb.

Have a similar non-stick Carote set, but considering this set. That set has lids with a notch cut out to allow space for the handle to grab. For what it's worth, our handles have burn/melt marks from being left on the pots, especially when we leave the pot carelessly off-center and the handle is more directly exposed to the burner. I'd imagine the makers probably intend for the handle to not be left on the pots/pans unless you're actively grabbing it, in which case I understand why these have simpler, non-notched lids. To the same point, we use one handle for multiple pans/pots simultaneously and have never had an issue, so I'm not mad at the 2 handles for 5 pots thing. Again, they probably intend the use case to be not leaving the handles idly attached, and if anything, it's kind of a feature in terms of the whole set's compactness.

Imagine losing the handle...not crazy with the idea of pots without the handles. I don't think I can handle it....
