I bought one of these on a whim last year when it was on sale. It has bee surprisingly useful and the form factor is super convenient for daily carry. I've used it way more than I expected to.

I agree that it's surprisingly useful--my kid needed a reading light when we were out of town for Easter, and the side LEDs on the dimmest level were perfect. It can perform a lot of different roles.

Why do they say green instead of calling it a laser?

Great light for the price. Definitely has lots of useless baubles built into it, but it's a fun light.
I'll say it's a little bigger than I imagined in my head. There are better lights for EDC imo, but this is perfect for a bag. I personally don't daily carry a light in my pocket regardless.

Bought this a year ago at the same price. Everything was as expected except that the laser was mis-aligned significantly. That bothered me so much that I returned it.

Is it actually a laser pointer or just a green light?

It's a green laser pointer. I have two of these and they are very useful.

Bought 2 last year when it was on sale. The "black light" is great when you check into a hotel/motel/airbnb/vrbo and want to make sure your sheets are clean and the Airbnb doesn't have murder stains. Went to a La Quinta by Orlando airport and it felt like the room was both a murder scene and had a good amount of "organic matter". We got our money back and went literally 200 yards to the Holiday Inn which showed no murders or organic matter anywhere.

Light has way more features than 90% of people need but when you do need it, you'll be glad you have it.

It's actually a green laser pointer. I have a discrete laser pointer, but my cat prefers the Wurkkos one because it's not too bright to look at. I still wouldn't shine it directly into eyes though. Pretty easy to see across the street and stuff XD

I had a MagLite when I was 7. This is brighter, but only you are going to be able to tell if your child won't shine it into their eyes or weaponize it into other children's eyes if they get upset. Even the 1200 Lumen regular flashlight is brighter than a car headlight (maybe not the high beams on a truck with LEDs, but still dazzling). I'd trust a little me, but not my nephew.I'd recommend a light that tops out at 500 lumens or less, don't give laser pointers because they're not toys.
