Bought this in February with low expectations but this thing works great. I don't think I charged it in the last two months and I use it every day. Way better than the Bitvae I bought a while back.

I've used Sonicare brushes for about 15 years or so. Many different models. I don't know why I bought this but I did. It's funny because when I used it, I immediately felt underwhelmed by the apparent lack of power. But as the day went on yesterday, I couldn't believe how much cleaner my teeth felt. And they stayed that way for much longer than my Sonicare. So I tried it again today and can confirm while it doesn't feel stronger, it does seem to do a much better job on my teeth. Right now I am definitely in the 'great purchase' camp.

small price to pay for good oral hygiene.. I already have a cheap one so this is for backup and looks to be much better. I alternate with Oral B electric. I also use portable cheap water pik, don't know how I managed without these.

If you are a user of Sonicare, this thing will disappoint. It doesn't have the same power and doesn't clean well compared to the most basic Sonicare. Even at $8, it's not a good deal knowing I won't use it.

I got mine. The brush head is too hard and stiff. Too bad, because otherwise the unit is great. Makes me appreciate the softer brush head on the Bear sonic brush I've been using.

I will agree with you. My philips sonicare ( bought from Costco) has lesser vpm. This one has 48000 vpm which makes the difference
