The one I got doesn't have the grey/black checkered border nor the text at the bottom so that part might be a cardboard cover slip (Amazon's website has an example image of it without these elements). I wouldn't know for sure since I bought this as part of a sonic 2-movie steelbook set (it was part of the $8.78 Paramount clearance on MoviesUnlimited and now sold out).
