Just some details for those considering this: Walmart Family Mobile follows Tracfone's Unlocking Policy, so these would require 12 months of paid service to qualify for unlocking. Once unlocked, it should work on Verizon & T-Mobile MVNOs, although it's missing T-Mobile's band 71, which is pretty much necessary in some rural areas. It's not whitelisted for the AT&T network.
I did have a chance to toy with one for a bit: I actually thought the software was more user-friendly than some of the more common flip phones. I didn't use it enough to have meaningful longer-term thoughts, tho.
