There's key bounce. So not worth it.

I bought my first mechanical keyboard about a month ago. Love it. But it's very clackety, and I type very fast (~120wpm), so I must be annoying the hell out of people.
Can anyone recommend a mechanical but super quiet option? Do those exist?

If you bought one with swappable switches, buy a pack of 100+ red or yellow linear switches and a swapping tool.

I have this one:

So, already have red switches? Are keyboards just inherently loud? Lol

Red switches are generally considered the quietest of the mechanical keyboards, so you probably won't find anything materially quieter than what you have. Blue switches make a sharp clicking sound, so it'd be a LOT louder than what you're currently using.

There are some membrane keyboards that imitate mechanical boards now that are quieter, but you have a great keyboard and would be hard-pressed (ahem) to find something better at a similar price.

It could be that you're just a loud typer. Fast typers often hammer the keys. If you think about how you're typing you might be able to modify the force of your press to minimize noise.

I have officially spent too long on my reply comment.🫡

Thanks! I'll just slow down typing and press less hard. Appreciate your reply.

I'm not so sure about a mechanical keyboard for $19. Anyone have experience with this one?
