I'd say for desktop use, they are really boomy and impactful. I have to tune bass and treble way down to get not fatigued.
When I get shot at in Battlefield 6, my body physically feel the impact, from those speakers.
These are absolutely fantastic. Also amazing for music.

I got these for $599 back in 2025 same costco deal. Are they worth it? Hmmm debatable. Sound quality for me is great, it is very clear especially at low volume so no complaints. I think for $599+tax, they are pretty expensive and honestly not sure if its REALLY worth the price.

That said, I have seen these multiple times on sale since I bought them (I think it hit $599 again maybe 2-3 times since this post). This is the first time I've seen $500 and if you're in interested and price is no question I think the quality is worth it and I don't suspect it will drop even lower unless there's a new model coming out.

For context I also purchased a KEF Kube 8B subwoofer on ebay since and personal opinion there's like no need for the extra bass unless you're using it in a larger space.

Hope that helps anyone on the fence.

So much negativity. These speakers are great. The aesthetic/sound is fantastic. Not a good home theatre speaker but great for desktop speakers. Get the Kanto S4 stands ($40 on amazon) and you've got a really nice set up. If you don't like them, return them - Costco makes that easy.

I guess easy returns are only for Costco members, right?

Great bookshelf speakers and a significant step up from my budget edifiers which I thought were amazing until I heard these.

Any recommendations for a good subwoofer to pair with this LT?

These junks are overpriced even at $500. $300 is more reasonable for something this weak.

Original list price seems insanely high for what they are. Even this discounted price doesn't seem like such an incredible deal to me. I shopped hard for a pair of desk/bookshelf type speakers and got a pair of Adam Audio D3V's for $327 after tax and delivery. I would argue they are probably superior speakers. I listened to these KEF's in store and they were just okay IMO. I suppose that they're wireless is a nice feature (for some), but other than that, not really that competitive a price for what they are, only relative to the insane original list price.

Expensive.

I bought the bigger brother, LS50 Meta. Not impressive at all, no bass, can't compare to cheap floor speakers.
If you want to give it a try, go ahead, it's Costco.
I have no idea. I bought similar pair few months back seeing hype over it. They are average sounding speakers at premium price. You can see reviews comparing them with other mid range speakers and these are not impressive.

I say this with 100% confidence.
I don't own nor heard these, just read forums and hate people with disposable income. These are absolutely not worth it and are overpriced junk.
But I do own these and use them on my desktop - they are fantastic and brings my music/games to life.
This is ya'll in a mirror.

Looks sweet, but still rocking my Yamaha HS7's for almost 10 years w/ no issues. Worth the investment if you care about having nice studio monitor speakers.

Of course. If you are not a Costco member, you can't get them from Costco to begin with.

Well, if you equate good speaker with a lot of bass, you will only like the cheap kind.

Lifestyle speakers. Not bad necessarily, but they were priced at a premium out of the gate that just didn't sync with their quality. Nearfield desktop is ok. Slick? Eh, if you like this sound and you live the aesthetics, cool.
