Run Like New is a marketing term. Truck & SUV is also just marketing terms unless it specifies DIESEL Truck/SUV.
Diesel oils have additives made for diesel engines (like zinc and sulfur) because they don't use the same catalytic exhaust system as a gasoline engine. Running diesel oil in a gasoline engine can ruin the catalytic converter.
It's rated for Dexos R now and upgraded to API SQ.
Hint: The A is for American oil standards. They just certify the Euro batch with slightly different additives to meet Euro brand specs.
Mobil 1 Euro / FS is actually one of only about eight approved oils for the Corvette, and L87 V8's that don't need to be replaced.
P.S. It's a great oil. My go-to now. Going in my roadster this month.

Kirkland requires that the products meet or exceed the quality of the brand name equivalent. Generally speaking if you see a brand name product at Costco and a Kirkland brand right next to it, oftentimes it's manufactured by the same company but the Kirkland version must be the same or higher quality at a lower price.

I worked at a place that made a Kirkland product and it was eventually dropped. The people working on it said it wasn't meeting our quality requirements and there was no money to be made.
They work through the harvest group which mentions the requirements of being a supplier for Kirkland signature.

The notes specifically mention it's not for everyone, because it is very hard to become a Kirkland signature manufacturer and make a profit from it because the requirements are so stringent.

Unlike most retailers, Costco actually requires that nothing sold in their store can be marked up more than 15% regardless of current market pricing.
The point is that they use the leverage of being one of the world's largest retailer to get manufacturers to give them extremely high quality versions of their products at a very low margin with the promise of massive sales volume. They have no interest in low quality products specifically because they offer unconditional lifetime refunds on most products.
It's just a fundamentally different business model than most any other retailer

Also, Project Farm's tests don't actually test engine oil inside of an engine so...

The product we dropped was picked up by another manufacter and there is no way their quality matches ours.
Also where is this 15% cap from? It sounds like another misquoted line.
