I understand it may not be for everyone but buying the $400 kit with a free 6Ah (which feels like it's everyday price) seems like a better deal. Hacking it turns it to approximately $260 and for $85 more, you're getting a hammer drill, another battery, a charger, and a case. I'm sure you can sell the tool and charger for $100 on facebook and it'll come out cheaper and you're still left with XC 5.0 Ah and the case

Plus since it's an everyday price, you can wait for a site to do a 15% cashback on Home Depot.

This seems like a good deal. You'll only have whatever power is in the shipped battery though since you don't get a charger. Hopefully the battery is shipped with a full charge.

Milwaukee generally ships batteries with 1 bar out of 4 charged. Only brand where I've had to jump a new battery because they undercharged it.
