Seems like a good recorder for dawless jams, travel, rehearsals, demos, etc. Can layer and bounce independent tracks.

Just going to say these are really cool little tools for musicians. It's nice to occasionally get away from doing everything in a laptop DAW and just having a device that lets you capture ideas. Yes, I know every phone has a voice recorder and other various apps for multitrack recording, but this is a really neat way to just plug in and get going. Oh, it's obviously also great for mobile podcasting.

I have the Zoom H5Studio and it's AMAZING! The sounds it records are spectacular! Very low noise floor!
